An IP phone, additionally called a VoIP phone, is a phone that uses the web convention, unlike the PSTN with exchange circuit. An IP phone joins via an Ethernet link, instead of a phone jack, to the web, where it interfaces with the IP address of the VoIP provider or the facilitated PBX provider. From the customer’s point of view, it works the same as a regular phone, but better.
The Phone Connector
PSTN phones and VoIP phones are not viable, but one can set a PSTN phone to the web with a simple phone connector. In the remote chance that one will do this, even though one will have the option to decide on decisions, one will not have the option to explore a large number of VoIP highlights. It may be satisfying to use conventional phones and an ATA at home, but in a commercial environment, it is generally recommended that when one switch to VoIP, one get new IP phones.
The Variety
IP phone come in a wide variety of formats and with a variety of work structures. Some look a lot like ordinary business phones, others share more, for all intents and purposes, with an Apple or Android tablet. Another style of IP phone is the meeting phone, which has a speaker on the top and three microphones around it.
